Both the Santa Monica Pier and Venice Pier are showing in this photo. Pacific Ocean Park amusements and rides were located on Venice Pier before the pier burned down. Also note: Santa Monica Pier and the boats tied up in the SM Bay. They are not there today. The pier was shortened later on due to a terrible storm. Notice in the SM mountains there are areas of trees and shrubs which are removed to help and prevent the spreading forest fires from jumping to other areas.
